The UAE was the fourth largest source of crude oil for India in 2025, meeting about 11% of India’s needs. India is the largest buyer of UAE LNG, with long-term contracts of about 4.5 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa). The UAE is also India’s largest source of LPG, meeting around 40% of India’s requirements. Two-way trade between India and the UAE surpassed $100 billion in 2025-26 ($101.25 billion), with a target to reach $200 billion by 2032; a local currency settlement system is in place.
