New Amrit Bharat Express to connect Hadapsar, Pune with Varanasi; Pune–Jabalpur Special to be regularised
The Indian Railways approved an Amrit Bharat Express service between Hadapsar (Pune) and Varanasi, and converted the Pune–Jabalpur special train into a regular service. The decision was communicated via an official letter, and the Hadapsar-origin train is expected to ease congestion at Pune and provide faster northbound connectivity. Commuters welcomed the move with relief over better planning and direct travel to religious destinations.
Why It Matters
The plan expands Pune's rail connectivity to North India and introduces a regular service for a previously irregular route, potentially benefiting pilgrims and long-distance travelers.
