To simplify processes under the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015, the PMRDA approved delegation of powers under the Land Disposal Regulations, 2023, to speed up plot allotment, transfers, inheritance entries, and NOCs. Retrospective approval was granted for powers exercised since June 2021.
Delegation of land disposal powers to the metropolitan commissioner
PMRDA approved a proposal to delegate routine land disposal powers directly to the metropolitan commissioner to speed up processes.

Major allocations to engineering and land departments
A major share of the budget—₹2,918.81 crore—was allocated to the engineering department for infrastructure and development works (metro expansion, road development, Katraj-Yerawada twin tunnel, Ring Road, Lonavala skywalk, Pawna-Indrayani river project, urban growth clusters, CM package roads, tourism routes, and housing projects). ₹970.76 crore was earmarked for the land and property department. The budget shows a surplus of ₹3.55 crore. A separate fire fund provision was made with expected receipts ₹100.05 crore and expenditure ₹71.04 crore for 2026-27.
PMRDA budget approved for FY 2026-27
CM Devendra Fadnavis, presiding as PMRDA chairman, approved the PMRDA budget for the financial year 2026-27 totaling ₹4,628.85 crore, including revised estimates for 2025-26 and projections for 2026-27. Total revenue and capital receipts are ₹4,628.85 crore and total expenditure is ₹4,625.30 crore.
Merger of Pimpri-Chinchwad NTD Authority with PMRDA
Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development Authority was merged with PMRDA in June 2021, bringing the former’s assets and liabilities under PMRDA.
