April 15, 2026

The BLA, via Balochistan Post quoting spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, claimed 27 operations across multiple districts in Balochistan between April 15 and April 25, 2026. The group said its fighters conducted improvised explosive device blasts, ambushes, raids and drone attacks targeting Pakistani security forces. It alleged 42 Pakistani military personnel were killed, with several others injured and one soldier captured. The BLA also claimed it seized weapons and briefly overran posts and security facilities in different areas. The group said three of its fighters were killed in clashes. Specific actions cited include targeting advancing troops near Sohunda with a remote-controlled IED followed by an ambush; subsequent operations in nearby civilian areas allegedly caused 11 civilian deaths (per TBP). The BLA said Pakistani forces were targeted in the Almark area of Kharan via IEDs and ambushes, forcing a retreat and casualties. In Quetta, an attack on an “Eagle Squad” police unit on Qambrani Road injured two; it said it killed a local alleged pro-government armed individual in Kohlu district and reported further attacks on armed groups and security forces in Besima with casualties. Clashes in Shahrag and Harnai led to one soldier being captured alive. The BLA said it seized a Levies post in Jhal Magsi and took weapons, while carrying out multiple attacks on convoys and checkpoints that produced deaths and injuries. The group also confirmed the death of one BLA fighter in the clashes. The report notes this period follows weeks after three Pakistan Coast Guard personnel were killed when Baloch fighters opened fire on a patrol boat near the Pakistan–Iran border.
